About this role
Lutron is seeking a Packaging Engineering Co-Op to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will help to support packaging design and development projects by evaluating materials, creating prototypes, conducting testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective packaging solutions. At Lutron, your interest in packaging will grow through hands-on experience, practical skill-building, and collaboration with experienced engineers in a supportive environment.

Your internship at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on:
Practices and activities relating to sustainable packaging design such as lifecycle analysis, materials selection, etc.
Designing and prototyping new packaging using ArtiosCAD packaging design software
Generating packaging solutions utilizing common materials like corrugate, paperboard, and plastics
Industry standard (e.g. ISTA, ASTM) and project-specific testing protocols for packaging (drop, abuse, vibration, etc.)
Driving active projects in partnership with cross functional teams
Learning and applying newly adopted tools and technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability
We seek talented, success-minded people with the desire and ability to make things happen. Our baseline requirements are simple:
You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Science or Packaging Engineering
Your cumulative GPA is at least 3.20
You are a rising junior, rising senior, or master's student at the start of the co-op
You have broad interests in packaging engineering, design and development
You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position
Willingness and ability to work on-site 5 days per week
