About this role
Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is seeking motivated and collaborative interns to join its growing Family Office practice. The intern will support accounting and financial management services for high-net-worth individuals and family entities by processing accounts payable, reconciling accounts, recording transactions, monitoring cash flows, and assisting with special projects.
What you'll do:
- Process AP for multiple clients using different accounting systems
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
- Categorize bank and credit card transactions and record journal entries
- Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate any unusual items
- Maintain accurate and timely financial information as well as process monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Assist in monitoring client cash flows
- Reconcile and analyze bank/brokerage accounts as well as private equity and hedge fund capital statements
- Provide support on special projects and additional duties when needed
What they're looking for:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's and/or Master's program with a concentration in accounting
- At least one accounting course completed to be considered for an interview
- On track to complete a minimum of three accounting courses prior to the internship program
- Minimum GPA of 3.2, with "B" grades or above in accounting courses
- Final graduation date with academic requirements for California CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and July 2028
- Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication
- The position may require participation in offsite events and activities that involve extended periods of standing and walking for distances of up to two miles
- The position may also require extended periods of sitting and the ability to transport a company-provided laptop and other work-related materials weighing up to 10 pounds
- Internship applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- A higher major GPA preferred
