FastLane Product Associate, Central Services

Fortress Information Security is hiring a FastLane Product Associate to own product projects from research through delivery alongside product managers. The role supports cybersecurity, supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance products through customer research, requirements development, data analysis, prototyping, and collaboration with engineering teams and customers.

What you'll do:

• Own defined product projects from research through delivery, with guidance from product managers
• Research customer workflows, regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, DoD cybersecurity frameworks), and competitor offerings to inform product decisions
• Draft user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
• Analyze product usage, customer feedback, and data sets to identify problems and opportunities
• Build prototypes, mockups, or automations using approved AI and low-code tools to test ideas quickly
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and roadmap discussions
• Prepare clear written and presented summaries of findings for product leadership and cross-functional partners
• Support customer-facing activities such as demos, discovery calls, and pilot programs
• Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• 0–1 year of professional experience in product, software, data, or a related field (internships, co-ops, and academic projects count)
• Comfortable using AI tools for research, writing, analysis, and prototyping, and able to judge output quality and use approved tools responsibly per Fortress policy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, domains, and workflows quickly
• Bachelor's degree required
• Coursework or experience in engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or a related field
• Prior internship, project, or leadership experience involving product, software, or data work
• Interest in cybersecurity, national security, or critical infrastructure protection
• Familiarity with agile development, Jira, or similar tools
• Basic data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Python, or BI tools)
