Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in written prose such as in academic papers, journals, and/or research materials.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in producing feature stories for public websites, blogs, and/or newsletters, etc.
Duties
- Research and write human interest stories easily consumed by the public.
- Conduct interviews remotely and/or in person to gather information. (This job can be done 100% remotely.)
- Establish and effectively maintain working relationships with members of the UH
- Hilo community.
- Exercise significant independence and initiative in the performance of responsibilities.
- Meet weekly deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Flexible work schedule. Assignments require work on select weekdays excluding holidays. All work can be done remotely.
