Field Engineer Intern

McShane Construction Company provides construction management services for large-scale commercial, multi-family, industrial, and institutional projects. The Field Engineer Intern will work full-time in the field to learn job-site management activities, assist with coordinating trades and inspections, monitor project progress, and support project completion.

What you'll do:

• Assist with coordinating the efforts of multiple trades
• Participate in project inspections and complete daily reports
• Monitor progress of work and notify Superintendent of any delays
• Assist with communication and coordination with municipal officials
• Assist with project punch-list and oversee completion of all project disciplines

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
• Able to communicate effectively and work productively with others
• Other success factors include attention to detail, problem solving, reliability, thoroughness, positive attitude, professionalism, and an eagerness to learn
• Ability to use a computer, the Internet, and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a strong sense of initiative
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Reliability, professionalism, a positive outlook, and a strong desire to learn
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required
