Finance & Accounting Intern

Flexsteel Industries, Inc. is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting its Finance and Accounting operations. The role assists with financial close activities, report preparation and analysis, account reconciliations, forecasting, cost accounting, and audit support.

What you'll do:

• Gain an understanding of the financial close process and support the team in multiple capacities
• Learn to prepare and analyze complex reports, utilizing reporting tools such as excel, analyst and SAP
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
• Participate in the preparation and compilation of financial forecasts
• Provide support and maintain multiple cost accounting deliverables
• Complete accounting and finance projects, as assigned by supervisor
• Supporting the internal Sarbanes-Oxley audit and annual external audit
• All other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Accounting (must be completed with second year)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in suit of Microsoft office applications including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint
• General Accounting understanding and ability to read Financial Statements
