Finance & Accounting Intern

Oshkosh Corporation designs and manufactures specialty trucks and access equipment that serve and protect people and communities around the world. The Finance & Accounting Intern will support financial operations through activities such as close processes, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, treasury operations, reconciliations, and financial analysis while gaining experience across global finance teams.

What you'll do:

• Supporting monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and other special projects
• Supporting fixed asset accounting and related financial processes
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports, schedules, and account activity
• Assisting with sales and use tax returns, exemption certificates, and related compliance activities
• Supporting federal, state, and international income tax processes and reporting
• Conducting tax research and assisting with sales and use tax audits
• Reconciling tax accounts and maintaining information related to state income tax payments and refunds
• Supporting international tax activities, including foreign true-up calculations and country-by-country reporting
• Assisting with daily treasury operations and banking activities
• Performing bank and cash reconciliations
• Monitoring and tracking treasury operational metrics and benchmarks

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in **Accounting, Finance**, or a related business field
• Interest in developing a career in accounting, finance, tax, treasury, or a related area
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and business partners
• Ability to work year-round, with approximately **20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time availability during summer and school breaks**
• Experience, coursework, or interest in one or more of the following is a plus:
• * Financial or managerial accounting
• * Corporate accounting and financial reporting
• * Taxation
• * Treasury or cash management
• * Budgeting and forecasting
