Finance Intern (Financial Planning & Analysis)

Quantum Design is a leading provider of technology solutions for researchers in various scientific fields. They are seeking a Finance Intern to support the Global FP&A team in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis activities, contributing to key initiatives that enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Support the monthly financial reporting and close cycle
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of standardized management reporting
• Support Datarails and multidimensional data cube maintenance and enhancements
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making
• Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting activities
• Prepare actuals-to-budget and prior-year variance analyses
• Contribute to global data-management initiatives focused on improving data consistency and reporting accuracy
• Help standardize financial data across global entities and support the development of a global chart of accounts
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by the FP&A team
• Collaborate with finance team members across multiple regions and time zones

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in and pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI and data visualization tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones
• Coursework or interest in data analytics, financial modeling, or business reporting is a plus
• Familiarity with Datarails and multidimensional data cubes
• Exposure to ERP systems is a plus
