About this Position

JOB OVERVIEW

This position specializes in administering the Federal Student Aid Prison Education Program (PEP).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Aid Oversight of the Prison Education Program (PEP)
  • Travel to multiple correctional facilities to enter FAFSA data
  • Assist students with completing the FAFSA and other federal student aid documents
  • Communicating with correctional staff
  • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Update excel tracking for PEP
  • Checking eligibility NSLDS

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 1-2 years of work experience

Post-secondary education may substitute for the required years of experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • You must be able to pass a background check to enter Oklahoma Department of Corrections Facilities
  • This position requires extensive travel throughout Oklahoma
  • Some extended hours may be needed
  • This position may be based out of Warner or Muskogee
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Protect confidential information while managing sensitive records

Preferred Qualifications

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Banner programming
