About this role
Mitsubishi Power is building clean energy technologies and supporting the global transition to net zero. The Financial Analyst Associate provides analytical support through financial reporting, performance measurement, forecasting, and process optimization, while also reviewing LTSA contracts and monitoring contractual compliance.
What you'll do:
- Margin erosion analysis
- Preparation of cost & revenue analysis
- Participate in internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
- Review account reconciliations
- Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow analysis
- Assist in the development of forecasts (both profit & loss and cash flow)
- Support management review of financial statements with management personnel
- Various ad hoc analysis and special projects as required
What they're looking for:
- Actively enrolled in a four-year college or university and in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Finance/Accounting
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledge of accounting, database, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, word processing and email software
