About this role
Bausch + Lomb is a global eye health company dedicated to protecting and enhancing vision through its broad portfolio of eye health products. The Financial Analyst I supports the Clearwater manufacturing finance function through financial reporting, analysis, close activities, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking while partnering with operational and finance teams.
What you'll do:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules in accordance with company accounting policies
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances related to manufacturing operations, including material, labor, and overhead costs
- Support inventory accounting activities, including physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory-related reporting
- Assist in monitoring spending against approved operating budgets and provide analysis of significant variances
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities
- Support capital expenditure tracking, reporting, and financial analysis to ensure compliance with approved capital plans
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to gather information and support financial decision-making
What they're looking for:
- • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required
- • Early-career finance professional with up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance, including internships or co-op experience
- • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling techniques
- • Foundational knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles
- • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
- • Ability to analyze financial information and communicate findings effectively
- • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- • Demonstrated ability to work independently while seeking guidance and support when appropriate
- • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions
