Financial Analyst

Buff City Soap is seeking a Financial Analyst to actively partner with multiple departments and perform financial analyses to drive strategic decision-making and profitable growth. The role involves reporting on sales, developing budgets and forecasts, and serving as an analytical thought partner to commercial leaders.

What you'll do:

• Report on sales across all relevant dimensions (e.g., channels/stores, products, customers); translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform decision making (e.g., assortment, pricing, promotions)
• Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and period results reports
• Serve as an analytical thought partner to commercial leaders; create ad hoc financial analyses to support organizational decision making, aligning Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and eCommerce perspectives into a single source of truth
• Analyze industry and competitive trends and make recommendations based on those trends
• Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
• Performs other related duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Marketing, Merchandising or Analytics
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Excellent organizational and collaboration skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with SQL & BI/Data Visualization tools is a plus
