Financial Analyst

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP is an elite global law firm with world-class practices across the board. The Financial Analyst will primarily focus on the rates and pricing function while supporting other areas within Practice Analysis.

What you'll do:

• Support the annual rate arrangement process, via the consolidation and distribution of historical data (time value, hours, billings, etc.), sensitivity analysis, and monitoring of deadlines
• Compile historical client, matter, and practice group performance to help support pricing decisions and profitability assessments
• Collaborate with partners, business development and accounting to support client and pricing initiatives
• Utilize Oracle and other financial reporting tools to extract data and prepare financial reports
• Provide analysis on financial performance, utilization, realization, leverage, profitability, and other KPIs
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the pricing and related financial analysis capabilities
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize recurring pricing analysis and reporting using Excel and other analytical tools (Tableau), reducing manual workflow and creating efficiencies
• Various ad-hoc projects

• Strong organization and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Comfortable managing large data sets
• Bachelor's degree in business-related field
• 1-3 years of public or private experience in a similar capacity (Accounting or FP&A)
• Knowledge of Oracle and Smartview a plus
