About this role
Decision Technologies, Inc. is a premier engineering and intelligence services provider supporting the Department of Defense. They are seeking an Entry-, Junior-, or Mid-Level Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis and support for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.
What you'll do:
- Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets
- Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget
- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives
- Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending
- Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders
- Manage finances across multiple funding types
- Track budgets, costs, and variances
- Produce executive summaries
- Conduct financial reporting and analysis of financial issues and customer requirements
- Interpret and apply financial management principles
- Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals
What they're looking for:
- Entry-Level: Some education in pursuit of a business or finance career
- Junior-Level: 1-3 years' experience as a financial analyst
- Mid-Level: 4-10 years' experience as a contracts or program analyst for a Government program office
- YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DOD SECRET CLEARANCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- Direct experience as a financial analyst with NAVSEA or PEO IWS program offices
- An active SECRET clearance
- Knowledge of Navy-specific financial systems such as ERP, MSIL, and NEPS
- Experience working with financial actions and task tracking for ACAT-1/2/3 acquisition programs
- Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations
