Financial Analyst

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is a global musical instrument manufacturer, marketer, and distributor. The company is seeking a Financial Analyst to support month-end close, standard cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting for manufacturing operations while partnering with Operations to provide business insights and support decision-making.

What you'll do:

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and Fixed Assets reconciliation
• Prepare standard cost estimates for new and existing SKUs and provide NPI cost estimating support
• Own and support inventory management activities, including obsolete inventory tracking and disposition, Employee Sale inventory, physical/cycle counts, and Year-End Inventory (YEI) across multiple areas
• Perform daily reconciliation of scrap with Operations and produce daily reporting on labor, Tools & Supplies, scrap, and other operational metrics
• Own petty cash and checking account reconciliation
• Process expense requests for R&D/NPI/production areas
• Support special projects for Finance and Operations, and assist in communicating results to Operations partners to influence decision-making
• Additional duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting, with 1–2 years of finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard cost accounting principles
• Along with strong Excel skills for analysis of large/detailed operational data sets
• Experience with or aptitude for high-frequency reporting cycles (daily/weekly/monthly)
• Strong analytical skills; self-motivated and a self-starter
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• SAP experience preferred (including Fixed Assets, inventory, BOM's, and routings)
• Physical inventory control experience a plus
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
