Financial Analyst

Mayvin, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Marshals Service’s Financial Services Division. The role processes and reviews financial documents, transactions, accounting practices, and annual financial statements while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

What you'll do:

• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget circulars
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
• Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
• * Minimum One (1) year of experience with financial, budgetary or a related field
• * Superior attention to detail
• * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• * Excellent interpersonal skills
