Financial Analyst

New Era Cap, LLC hires a Financial Analyst to support accounting, tax compliance, reporting, reconciliations, payments, and other finance-related activities. The role maintains financial records, supports audits, coordinates payments, and helps ensure accurate finance and tax processes.

What you'll do:

• Support estimated tax, extension, property tax, and royalty withholding payments, including tracking, processing, and related mailings
• Retrieve, scan, organize, and maintain tax-related correspondence and documentation
• Prepare monthly transfer pricing calculations, intercompany invoices, and related journal entries
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations and post monthly tax journal entries in SAP
• Prepare and file international information returns, including Forms 1042-S and NR4
• Support Canadian indirect tax compliance, including GST and QST filings and monthly payments
• Maintain fixed asset records and process monthly depreciation calculations
• Coordinate treaty and residency documentation, including Forms 8802 and tax residency certificates
• Track professional and consulting fees to support budgeting and reporting activities
• Support responses to tax notices and communications with tax authorities as needed
• Prepare financial, census, and other regulatory surveys, including cross-functional data collection
• Support the collection of charitable contribution acknowledgements, reconciliation of related general ledger accounts, and identification of foundation-related expenses

What they're looking for:

• Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with strong Microsoft Excel skills required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Able to demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail with tasks
• Able to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at varying levels in the organization
• Able to build relationships with others and collaborate within a team environment
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and the ability to learn new concepts and processes
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of accounting, finance, tax, or related experience
• Experience with SAP and Sage Fixed Assets software preferred
