About this role
Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role assists with reporting, budgeting and forecasting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, audit preparation, and operational finance projects.
What you'll do:
- Prepare internal financial reports and variance analyses comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods
- Assist with the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Track and report on key financial and operational metrics to support management decision-making
- Build and maintain Excel-based models, schedules, and analyses
- Analyze revenue, expense, and cash flow trends and summarize findings for Finance leadership
- Support ad hoc analysis, special finance projects, and process improvement initiatives as assigned
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections follow-up
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare supporting schedules for financial statements
- Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to auditor requests
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Basic understanding of GAAP, general accounting principles, and financial statement analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and the broader Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion
- Experience with NetSuite or other accounting/ERP software platforms
- Prior internship or coursework in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a healthcare-related field
