About this role
Royal Credit Union is a member-focused financial institution seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support its Finance Department. The intern will assist with financial analyses, reports, forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, reconciliations, benchmarking, process improvements, and ad-hoc financial projects.
What you'll do:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reports
- Support the development of forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans
- Reconcile departmental budgets and investigate variances to ensure accuracy
- Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis using peer and macroeconomic data
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and complete ad-hoc financial projects
What they're looking for:
- All applicants must be located in the Chippewa Valley Area & include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when applying
- If selected for the internship, you must be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship
- Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks
- Enrolled in a university throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Must have completed or be currently enrolled in courses related to understanding Finance and Accounting
- Must be bondable
- Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of financial products/services
