Financial Analyst, Retail

Michael Kors is a fashion company seeking a Financial Analyst, Retail to support North America retail store financial planning and analysis. The role manages rent, occupancy, capital expenditures, budgets, forecasts, reporting, P&L analysis, month-end close support, and profitability initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Manage North America retail store rent and occupancy and capital expenditures, including the preparation of financial budgets, monthly forecasts, and reporting
• Partner with the Accounting team and other cross functional partners to support the month-end close process
• Analyze North America retail store P&L and provide commentary on variances against budget, prior forecast, and LY results
• Identify opportunities to reduce expenses and increase profitability across the retail store divisions
• Work cross-functionally with departments to manage expense line items
• Prepare and distribute store financials to Regional Directors and District Managers on a monthly basis
• Support the store proforma process, providing analysis on store performance and inputs
• Work on miscellaneous ad hoc reports and requests for senior executives

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, with an emphasis in finance or accounting
• * 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis
• * Retail industry experience
• * Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Excel
• * Experience with SAP, Hyperion Essbase and Planning, and AI proficiency is a plus
• * Highest degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail
• * Project management skills, from initial idea through execution
• * Ability to think analytically and problem solve
• * Strong organizational skills
• * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
