Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

Novogradac is a certified public accounting and consulting firm. The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst supports the Finance Department by preparing budgets, projections, recurring financial reports, employee productivity and firm performance analyses, and ad hoc finance reports.

What you'll do:

• Prepare analytical reports to analyze employee productivity and overall firm performance
• Compile and deliver supporting reports in response to partner and principal inquiries
• Prepare and update recurring monthly and quarterly financial planning and budgeting reports
• Update fixed assets and prepare depreciation reports
• Report on complex data points and ad hoc finance analysis reports
• Additional duties and projects as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance plus 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses, present findings, and create solutions
• Strong computer proficiency, including solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel, as well as experience using accounting software systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience working in a professional services firm a plus
