Financial Planning and Analysis - Intern

DigiKey is a distributor of electronic components seeking an FP&A Intern to support its Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role assists with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, data analysis, and strategic planning activities.

What you'll do:

• Manage special projects assigned assisting FP&A in current processes opportunities
• Assisting FP&A team in preparing for annual planning and budgeting
• Conduct variance analysis with actuals against forecasted projections and provide key insights

• A rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Be willing to take the initiative, working independently and collaboratively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Interest in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics
• Full Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
