Financial Planning and Analysis Intern - Summer 2027

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern to support its FP&A team in a research and operations environment. The intern will develop financial analysis, business intelligence, dashboard development, and cost reporting skills while supporting research, development, and operational organizations.

What you'll do:

• Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll work alongside experienced financial professionals to learn and apply financial management principles in a dynamic research and operations environment
• You'll build skills in financial analysis, business intelligence, dashboard development, and cost reporting while supporting INL's research, development, and operational organizations
• You may also gain exposure to cost trend analysis, cost review processes, data collection, process improvement, and data-driven decision support—along with strategic financial planning and continuous improvement efforts tied to INL's long-term mission

What they're looking for:

• Undergrad junior-senior or Masters student enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Project Management, Operations, Process Improvement, Information Technology, Accounting, Construction Management, or a closely related degree
• A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)
• You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
• At this time, BEA will not sponsor any H1-B visas obtained outside of the United States of America (U.S.A.), including consular visas
• To be eligible for employment at INL males born after December 31, 1959 must have registered with the Selective Service System (SSS)
