Department: Critical Care Transport

Shift/Hours: Full time, 5-8hrs or 4-10hr day shifts

 

The Fleet Operations Coordinator is responsible for Critical Care Transport Ambulance Fleet Operations. Responsible for assuring that all vehicles meet federal, North Carolina and South Carolina regulations for certification as a Critical Care Transport Ambulance. Responsible for ensuring fleet are in a constant state of readiness and that adequate reserves, utilities, fuel, parts, tools, and supplies are available/on-hand to successfully complete the Division’s mission. Participates in strategic, long range planning to develop division goals, management philosophy, policy development, and resource utilization to provide effective services to the community. Maintains documentation/records pertaining to vehicles and stations. Maintains budget and cost-effective purchasing responsibility for section. Works closely with the Manager to ensure proper compliance with all matters relating to fleet and station operations, to include (purchasing, leasing, renting, and construction of vehicles, stations, equipment, supplies, fuel, etc.) Explores and recommends new products based upon industry innovations.


What We're Looking For

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. 
  • Experience: 3 years, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current and valid North Carolina EMT, AEMT or EMT-P certification, required. Completion of an emergency vehicle operations class, required. 
  • Additional Skills (required): Current practice in area of responsibility; regulatory/governing standards, policies, and procedures; required computer/information systems; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; delegation, team building, decision making, conflict management, change management skills; verbal and written communication skills that are sensitive to diversities among age groups, cultures, and educational levels. Ability to access, read, and interpret county and state maps is required.
