Status: Part-Time, Year-Round
Job Summary: The Food and Beverage Stocker plays an essential behind-the-scenes role in making events at The Monument run smoothly. This position supports the Food and Beverage team by stocking concession stands and portable bars, replenishing supplies during events, helping ensure event areas are clean, and products are organized, fresh, and ready to serve our guests. Food and Beverage Stockers are key to keeping our team moving quickly and efficiently so every guest has a great experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stock concession stands, bars, and commissary areas with food, beverages, and supplies before and during events.
- Monitor product levels throughout shifts and respond to restock requests from bartenders, concession leads, or event supervisors during events in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set up and break down food and beverage equipment including mobile serving stations, bars, and tables.
- Rotate and organize inventory to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and putting away shipments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and work areas.
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe, guest-ready atmosphere by cleaning up spills and ensuring service areas remain neat throughout events.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members about supply needs or equipment issues.
- May support additional food and beverage operations, including catering, concessions, and banquet service, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Previous hospitality, stocker, bar back, or janitorial/porter experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule and compliance with South Dakota Labor Laws.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
Work Environment:
- Duties are performed in fast-paced work environment (bar, banquet, and concession areas) both indoor and outside with exposure to high levels of noise and large crowds.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time, including navigating stairs or ramps.
- Occasional contact with outdoor elements near entrances or exterior areas.
- Exposure to flashing lights, amplified sound, theatrical effects, and pyrotechnics during certain performances or events.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
