**TWO SCHEDULES AVAILABLE**

  1. Evenings & Weekends: 11:30am-8:00pm OR 3:00pm-8:00pm = 12-24 hours per week

 

  1. Monday-Friday: 6:00am-2:30pm OR 11:30am-8:00pm; Weekends (some mornings, some evenings): 6:00am-2:30pm or 11:30am-8pm                                                                                     (Open Availability  = 12-24 hours per week)

 

WORK LOCATION

Arnett Hospital

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for a diverse customer base. 

  • The customer base includes patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public. 

  • The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. 

  • Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety. 

  • Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment. 

  • Prints, reviews, and verifies food and nutrition orders for accuracy and completeness 

  • Stocks and maintains the nutrition pantry/room, ensuring supplies are well organized and readily available.

  • Gathers and “shops” for food, beverages, and related supplies throughout the hospital to fulfill daily needs.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
  • Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
  • Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
  • Physical requirements to include reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 20 lbs. or more, up to 50 of the time.
