THE POSITION
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
This position is not eligible for telework.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Provide technical support and assistance to Regional Forestry staff in day-to-day activities on State Game Lands with a primary focus on habitat management activities promoting young forests in WMUs within the Region.

Eligibility - all candidates:
- Meet the minimum experience and training required for the job:
- An associate's degree in forest technology; OR
- Completion of equivalent formal education in forestry.
- Condition of employment: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
- You must be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
- You must be able to perform the essential functions.
- PA Residency is currently waived for this title.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum experience and training required for the job.
- Meritorious service; defined as (a) the absence of any discipline above the level of a written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last due overall regular or probationary performance evaluation was higher than unsatisfactory or fails to meet standards.
- Seniority, defined as a minimum of one year(s) in the next lower class(es) by the posting closing date with no break in service.
- This position is subject to the promotion provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
