FP&A Intern

POOLCORP is a distributor of outdoor living products. The FP&A Intern will evaluate large amounts of data, provide insights into business performance and trends, conduct ad-hoc financial analyses, and prepare materials for senior management and field and corporate support teams.

What you'll do:

• Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing data to help understand and forecast sales, gross margin, and expense trends
• Builds financial databases by identifying sources of information and assembling, verifying, and backing up data
• Monitors key performance indicators, performs root cause analysis, and evaluates business and process improvement opportunities
• Provides ad-hoc financial analysis to assist decision making for executive management
• Prepares reports used in monthly financial close processes
• Works in a team-based setting to provide financial and operational value-add reports for utilization by field and support management
• Comfortable working with large datasets and translating complex data into actionable insights
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

What they're looking for:

• Working towards completion of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer science or Data Analytics
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, data query and reporting tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and accounting skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline-driven work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.​
• Experience with Power BI a plus
