Front End Developer (Hybrid) - 28751

Enlighten is a leader in big data solution development and deployment, specializing in cloud-based services and data science. They are seeking a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse, with a focus on collaboration and mentorship within a hybrid work environment.

What you'll do:

• Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications
• JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences
• Help define and interact with REST based API’s
• Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support
• Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing
• Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Security Clearance - A U.S. Government security clearance is not required on the first day, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required
• 0 years of experience with front end software development/engineering and a Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
• Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software
• Comfortable working on a \nix command line
• Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+) within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed
• Previous experience with BDP is a plus
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer
