Front-end Development Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Front-end Development Engineer for a contract role in Dearborn, Michigan. The role focuses on developing responsive web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating user interfaces, testing software, troubleshooting defects, and optimizing application performance.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications with a strong focus on user experience and interface design
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, and back-end developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Design, build, and enhance front-end features using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Angular
• Create mock-ups, prototypes, and interactive designs while participating in UI reviews and product demonstrations
• Perform automated functional and UI testing, troubleshoot defects, and optimize application performance
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, accessibility standards, SEO principles, and development best practices

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 0-4 years of experience in software development, front-end development, or web application development
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles, responsive design, automated testing, and application performance optimization
• Familiarity with Python, Artificial Intelligence concepts, and database technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional development teams
