About this role
IDX is seeking a Full Stack Developer with hands-on WordPress experience and working knowledge of HubSpot CMS to join its web team. The role focuses on building and maintaining websites, developing custom features and integrations, optimizing performance and SEO, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on digital projects.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic websites and web applications, primarily using WordPress
- Create custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins to support ongoing client and internal site work
- Periodically build and maintain HubSpot CMS pages, templates, and workflow integrations
- Translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive and accessible web interfaces
- Contribute to building and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services
- Optimize websites for speed and SEO, contributing to broader scalability efforts alongside senior developers
- Help ensure security best practices are followed, escalating compliance questions to senior team members as needed
- Work collaboratively with designers, project managers, and QA teams to deliver projects on time
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, functionality, and user experience
What they're looking for:
- 1–3 years of professional full stack development experience, with strong hands-on WordPress experience and at least a solid working knowledge of HubSpot CMS
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
- Demonstrated experience building custom WordPress solutions (e.g., plugins, custom themes); solid general working knowledge of HubSpot's CMS, templates, and API
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
