Full-Stack Engineer

## Job Duties ## Platform Development - Help design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of a new internal AI-powered platform, from writing your first feature to seeing it run in production. - Build and maintain integrations between the platform and cloud services, AI APIs, and internal data sources. - Write clean, tested, and well-documented code across the full stack (Python backend + React/TypeScript frontend). ## AI & Automation - Integrate generative AI and LLM capabilities into the platform, helping business teams find information faster, answer questions, and automate repetitive tasks. - Learn and apply agentic and tool-calling patterns with guidance from senior engineers. ## Collaboration & Requirements - Partner with business teams to understand their day-to-day workflows and translate them into working software features. - Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, and sprint planning alongside senior engineers and product stakeholders. - Communicate progress, blockers, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. ## Security & Governance - Implement and follow secure authentication and access control practices (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC) appropriate for sensitive business data. - Apply data governance principles to ensure the platform handles information responsibly and compliantly. ## Engineering Practices - Contribute to and follow team best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and documentation. - Work within CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy features to production environments. - Use observability tools (logging, monitoring, alerting) to understand how the platform is performing in the real world. ## Iteration & Improvement - Gather and act on real user feedback to improve features over time. - Balance speed and reliability, shipping incrementally while maintaining production quality. ## Qualifications Level: Entry-Level / New Grad (0–2 years experience) ## Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. - Relevant coursework: Data Structures, Algorithms, Web Development, Cloud Computing, Databases, Software Engineering, or AI/ML. ## Technical Skills Languages & Frameworks - Proficient in Python through coursework, projects, or internships. - Exposure to React and TypeScript; built UI components or personal/class projects. - Familiarity with REST APIs and web application architecture.Cloud & Infrastructure - Introductory experience with a major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including through free-tier projects or coursework. - Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and deployment concepts. - Exposure to CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).AI / Generative AI - Awareness of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.) through class projects, hackathons, or self-study. - Curiosity about agentic patterns, tool-calling, and AI-powered workflows is a strong plus.Security & Auth - Conceptual understanding of authentication and access control; OAuth 2.0 / OIDC is a plus, but not required. - Awareness of data privacy and secure coding practices.Soft Skills & Work Style - Eager to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements with guidance. - Comfortable asking questions and iterating; doesn't need perfect specs to get started. - Takes ownership of tasks end-to-end, from design through testing and deployment. - Writes clean, readable code and values good engineering practices, including testing, documentation, and code reviews. - Excited about working on real, production-grade software, not just academic exercises. ## What You'll Grow Into This role is designed to grow you toward senior-level independence.
