About this role
Intuitive is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain an internal AI-powered platform. The role spans full-stack development, AI and cloud integrations, secure data handling, collaboration with business teams, and production deployment and iteration.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of a new internal AI-powered platform — taking ownership of features from development through production deployment
- Build and maintain integrations between the platform and cloud services, AI APIs, and internal data sources
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code across the full stack (Python backend + React/TypeScript frontend)
- Contribute to architectural discussions with guidance from senior engineers — learning to think beyond the feature and consider system design
- Integrate generative AI and LLM capabilities into the platform to help business teams find information faster, answer questions, and automate repetitive workflows
- Begin applying agentic and tool-calling patterns with growing independence — supported by senior engineers
- Partner with business teams to understand workflows and translate them into working software features — with some guidance on scoping and prioritization
- Participate actively in design reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Communicate progress, blockers, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Implement secure authentication and access control (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC) appropriate for sensitive business data
- Follow and contribute to data governance practices to ensure the platform handles information responsibly
- Contribute to and follow team engineering best practices — unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and documentation
What they're looking for:
- Junior / Early-Career (1–2 years of professional experience)
- Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems**, or a related technical field
- Relevant coursework or self-study in: Web Development, Cloud Computing, Databases, Software Engineering, or AI/ML
- Equivalent practical experience considered in lieu of degree
- **1–2 years of hands-on Python experience** — professional or project-based
- **React + TypeScript** — has shipped or contributed to UI features in a real or production-like environment
- Solid understanding of **REST API design** and client-server architecture
- Working experience with at least one major cloud provider (**Azure preferred; AWS or GCP considered**) — has deployed or managed cloud resources in a real project
- Hands-on experience with **Docker and containerized deployments**
- Active experience working within **CI/CD pipelines** (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Has worked with **LLM APIs** (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar) in at least one project — professional, personal, or academic
- Working knowledge of **OAuth 2.0 / OIDC** authentication flows — has implemented or debugged auth in a real application
Benefits:
- Hybrid work with a set schedule; onsite weekly, with the percentage of onsite work defined by the leader.
- Compensation package includes incentives and equity.
