Functional Analyst Intern (full time - 6 months)

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a Functional Analyst Intern to join their team responsible for developing and maintaining the Church's enterprise digital design system. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance documentation, analyze business and user needs, and drive the adoption of design system standards across the organization.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with designers, analysts, developers, and product teams to enhance and maintain the Church's enterprise digital design system
• Gather and analyze business and user requirements to support design system improvements
• Document standards, processes, and best practices to improve communication and consistency across teams
• Help ensure Church digital products align with accessibility standards and platform best practices for iOS, Android, and the web
• Collect, analyze, and report on metrics related to design system quality, usage, and adoption to inform future enhancements
• Leverage AI tools to improve documentation, streamline workflows, and support the application of design system standards

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, or within one year of your graduation date
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to gather requirements and clearly document processes and standards
• Interest in user experience, design systems, accessibility, and digital product development
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to apply them to improve documentation and workflows
• Experience with design, product management, or collaboration tools (such as Figma, Jira, or Confluence) is a plus
