Citi is a financial services organization seeking a Summer Analyst to join its Risk Management team in the Buffalo-area office. The role provides exposure to risk management, governance, and best practices through placement on risk teams, challenging projects, training, mentorship, and professional development.

What you'll do:

• Through placement on one of our Risk teams, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects, assess risk, develop business acumen, build upon leadership skills, and deepen your knowledge in risk and financial services
• Summer Analysts work closely with management teams, receive mentorship from senior leaders and peers, and are given the opportunity to add value to the risk organization and the firm through responsibilities structured to respond to the increasing regulatory, quantitative, and technical demands of the financial world
• The program assigns interns to teams across the risk organization, such as; Enterprise Risk Management, Market Risk, Model Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, US Personal Banking or Wealth Management
• You will learn about Citi’s business operations and the risks it manages
• You are willing to reinforce the firm’s Risk Management goals and objectives, ensure Citi’s safety and soundness, enhance capabilities in focus segment, and continue to make Citi a great place to work

What they're looking for:

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a STEM or quantitative related major (graduating in December 2027 through June 2028)
• You currently maintain a GPA of 3.3 or above
• You have an interest in Risk Management
• You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious
• You have a strategic and analytical mindset; possess strong data analytical skills
• You are proficient in MS Office applications
• You will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future
• You enjoy statistical analysis for projects and data/modeling validation
• You solve problems through statistical and non-statistical data exploration and can identify data quality issues
• You are willing to reinforce the firm's Risk Management goals and objectives, ensure Citi's safety and soundness, enhance capabilities in focus segment, and continue to make Citi a great place to work
• You take initiative, ask questions, eager to learn, have a growth mindset, and want to build leadership skills
