GA Non Teaching: Enrollment Management & Student Affairs - Data Analyst

East Texas A&M University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Data Analyst for its Office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. The role supports ad-hoc data reporting and analysis, develops statistical models and dashboards, extracts insights to improve student access and success, and recommends business process improvements.

What you'll do:

• The Graduate Assistant position will assist the Enrollment Data Manager in the office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs with ad-hoc data reporting and analyses requests
• Responsible for extracting meaningful insights from disparate data sources that would support the division in determining and implementing strategies aimed at increasing and improving student access & success
• Utilize data to create statistical models and actionable dashboards that depicts trends in the student information database as a whole
• Identify and recommend ways to improve and streamline business processes
• Other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
• Database experience in Oracle
• Must be proficient in SQL
• Must have experience in writing programs and using any Advanced Analytics and BI tools
• Knowledge of Data Visualization techniques
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Detail orientated and highly organized
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Enrolled in a graduate degree at East Texas A&M
• Ability to prioritize duties and adapt to changes
• Work well with others, including students and staff
• Ability to be self-managed, stay on task, and research solutions independently
