Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive General Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across all Medical Center locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently or supervise maintenance activities. This position offers an opportunity to apply technical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Position Summary: Performs special trade and general maintenance functions in all Medical Center locations. Performs ground maintenance in all seasons. Supports the Medical Center’s mission and vision as well as hospital and department policies and procedures governing their work activity.
Job Duties:
Performs preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
Repairs and installs hospital building equipment, furniture, etc.
Assembles various types of hospital equipment, furniture, etc.
Performs snow removal and groundskeeping.
Practices all workplace safety requirements
Maintains the safety of the environment.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Experience: 2 years' experience in institutional, commercial, or industrial general maintenance work. Preferred: Post high school training in trade or technology.

Certification/Licensure: Clearances: As required by State and Federal Law. Required: Valid Driver’s License
