About this role

GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS

Our core value is building strong relationships with institutional clients, including corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help clients transact in financial products, raise funding, and manage risk. Our dynamic, entrepreneurial teams value collaboration, innovation, and professionals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role sits within the Non-Financial Risk Vendor Management team, a vendor center of excellence (CoE) within Global Banking & Markets. The Analyst will support the management of critical and strategic supplier relationships through performance monitoring, risk and issue tracking, data analysis, meeting coordination, and stakeholder reporting.

Working with Strategic Supplier Managers and cross-functional partners, the Analyst will help identify opportunities to improve service, reduce risk, strengthen controls, and capture value from supplier relationships. The role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and an interest in developing commercial and supplier-management expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Strategic Supplier Managers in maintaining productive relationships with assigned suppliers and internal business stakeholders.

  • Collect, validate, and analyze supplier performance data, including service-level agreements, key performance indicators, risk metrics, and value-creation measures.

  • Assist in creation of dashboards, scorecards, meeting materials, and concise updates on supplier performance, risks, issues, and improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate supplier governance meetings, including agendas, materials, minutes, action logs, and follow-up with accountable owners.

  • Monitor open supplier issues, control deficiencies, and non-compliance events; support timely escalation, remediation tracking, and closure evidence.

  • Support supplier risk mitigation by identifying emerging concerns, coordinating remediation actions, monitoring progress, and escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Assist with reviews of contractual commitments and identify potential opportunities for performance improvement, risk reduction, operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and business teams to gather information and progress supplier-related actions.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, standardize processes, improve data quality, and automate manual activities.

  • Assist with market and supplier research to support benchmarking, sourcing decisions, and assessments of supplier capabilities and competitive alternatives.

  • Maintain accurate supplier records and support ad hoc analysis and management reporting.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize data, identify trends, and develop practical conclusions.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records across multiple workstreams.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise presentations and reports.

  • Effective organization and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and follow through on actions.

  • Collaborative approach and confidence working with colleagues across functions and levels.

  • Curiosity, good judgment, and willingness to learn about supplier management, procurement, risk, and the business.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization, workflow, procurement, or supplier-management tools is helpful.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Typically 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, supplier or vendor management, operations, risk management, finance, consulting, data analysis, or a related field.

  • Experience through internships, coursework, or full-time roles involving data analysis, reporting, project coordination, business operations, or stakeholder support is preferred.

  • Interest in developing expertise in Strategic Supplier Management and Vendor/Third-Party Risk Management.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
