Graduate Intern, Data Scientist (Summer 2027)

Delta Air Lines connects the world by flying customers to destinations around the globe. The Ops Digital Decision Science team is seeking a graduate-level Data Scientist intern to develop machine learning models, deliver insights, and create AI/ML solutions that improve airline performance and decision-making.

What you'll do:

• Work within a team of data scientists to develop advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems
• Collect data via SQL queries and perform exploratory data analysis
• Present analysis to business owners using concise but compelling narrative and visuals
• Learn new techniques within cloud-based platforms

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Computer Science
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL)
• Understanding of machine learning techniques (Python, SciKit Learn, or other machine learning platforms)
• Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline: May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027
• Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office
