Grand Central Barista

Position Purpose Execute food service and all of the components involved in the Café at the highest level of guest satisfaction to resort patrons.

Essential Functions
- Fully understands the menu. From the standpoint of ingredients and preparation of the beverages and dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany each drink and dish.
- Delivers all required Service Accents (proper presentation and verbiage, proper Grand Geneva and Starbucks knowledge).
- Responsible for the complete service of the guest and each order.
- Maintains a constant flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the restaurant area.
- Has the ability to use the POS efficiently. Micros System.
- Has the ability to perform proper cash handling procedures that fall in line with company standards.
- Must be proficient in multi-tasking and managing designated stations.
- Must comply with opening and closing as well as running side work necessities.
- Direct and consistent communication with the culinary and management team.
- Processes guest's checks and submits closing paperwork in a timely manner.
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product and personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Previous Barista experience is preferred but not necessary for the position.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel and general public.
- Must work well both with others and independently and be a team player.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of organization and motivation with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Outgoing and pleasant personality.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, stretch and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
