Grind Team Member - Porter Corp

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for quality of product before shot blast and during the processing.
2. Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
3. Supports, participates, and encourages team building.
4. Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team and weld shop supervisor.
5. Promotes a positive work environment.
6. Follow all of Porter Corps procedures and policies.
7. Work safely and efficiently
8. Stay customer focused.
9. Able to lift, up to, 50 pounds, bend, stand for long periods of time, stooping etc.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

1. Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience operating hand tools, hi-lo and cranes.
3. Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel.

Computer Skills

• Basic computer skill proficiency
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems.

4. Ability to read and Interpret blueprints and other written documents.

Other Skills

1. Safe and efficient operation of hand tools and equipment
2. Accuracy and completeness of work delivered to all customers.
3. Ability to read measuring tools and tape measurers.
4. Good attendance and punctuality
