Ground Software Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Lunar Outpost is offering a Ground Software Engineering internship supporting autonomous robotic development. The intern will work alongside full-time engineers on impactful, end-to-end projects that provide tangible value to Lunar Outpost products.

What you'll do:

• All interns will work directly alongside full-time engineers on real, engaging, and impactful projects, providing tangible value to Lunar Outpost products
• This internship offers a truly end-to-end experience that promotes collaboration at every stage of autonomous robotic development

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with NodeJS and React
• Experience with Python
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of Unit testing, Test-Driven Development, and mocking frameworks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Can effectively demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, while also excelling in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment
• Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills under pressure and in stressful situations
• Fueled by a passion for space exploration and the boundless possibilities beyond our world
• Experience with AWS services (S3, dynamodb, lambda)
• Previous experience working on mission control software
