GROWMARK Intern, Financial Analysis/Risk Management - GROWMARK, Inc. - Bloomington, IL

GROWMARK is an agricultural and energy-related organization represented by local FS cooperatives. The Finance & Accounting Intern will support financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business planning, operational improvement, and technology initiatives while developing professional experience across multiple business areas.

What you'll do:

• Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Support projects related to profitability, cost management, and business performance
• Assist with financial system implementations and technology improvement initiatives
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership teams
• Participate in facility visits to gain an understanding of operations and business performance
• Collaborate with employees across multiple departments and locations
• Build professional relationships with employees, customers, and industry partners
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
• Participate in all GROWMARK Internship Program activities and meetings
• Attend three required internship events: * May 24-25, 2027: Orientation Meeting (Bloomington, IL) * June 28-30, 2027: Mid-Summer Meeting (Location TBD) * August 11-12, 2027: Conclusion Meeting (Bloomington, IL)
• Actively participate in mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities

What they're looking for:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and interest in financial analysis
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Interest in business strategy, financial planning, and operational improvement
• Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks over the Summer, starting May 24, 2027, at the latest
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Preferred candidates are pursuing a degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field from a 4-year university and are in good academic standing at the start of the internship, with the status of at least a second-semester junior or first-semester senior at the time the internship begins. (i.e., Juniors going into their Senior year qualify, but students graduating before the start of their internship do not)
