As a Hardware Engineering Co-Op, you will work closely with experienced hardware engineers on real-world engineering projects that contribute to the design and performance of innovative HVAC technologies. ## WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
### Electrical Design & Development
- Assist with electrical design activities for residential HVAC control products.
- Support circuit evaluation, component selection, and design verification efforts.
- Contribute to engineering documentation and design-related activities.
- Gain exposure to industry-standard hardware development processes.
### Prototype Assembly & Testing
- Assist with prototype assembly, validation, and laboratory testing activities.
- Support engineers in conducting electrical and functional testing of hardware systems.
- Help collect, organize, and analyze test results to support product development efforts.
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities to identify and resolve hardware issues.
### Product Documentation & Analysis
- Assist with maintaining product documentation, test records, and technical reports.
- Support engineering teams with technical investigations and project-related documentation.
- Help track project progress and communicate findings to team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates as needed.
### Team & Project Support
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams on engineering initiatives.
- Support assigned project work throughout the internship, including planning, testing, and reporting activities.
- Participate in team meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions.
- Present project findings and accomplishments to Lennox leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
## POTENTIAL PROJECT OPPORTUNITIES:
### Residential HVAC Controls
- Support the design, development, and testing of residential HVAC control systems.
- Assist with prototype evaluation, product verification, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Contribute to engineering activities that improve product performance and reliability.
## WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of electrical design coursework.
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and circuit analysis.
- Familiarity with electrical laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
