About this role
Lennox International is a global provider of climate control solutions for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. The Hardware Engineering Fall Co-op will support electrical design, prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and product development activities for residential HVAC control systems while collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
What you'll do:
- Assist with electrical design activities for residential HVAC control products
- Support circuit evaluation, component selection, and design verification efforts
- Contribute to engineering documentation and design-related activities
- Gain exposure to industry-standard hardware development processes
- Assist with prototype assembly, validation, and laboratory testing activities
- Support engineers in conducting electrical and functional testing of hardware systems
- Help collect, organize, and analyze test results to support product development efforts
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities to identify and resolve hardware issues
- Assist with maintaining product documentation, test records, and technical reports
- Support engineering teams with technical investigations and project-related documentation
- Help track project progress and communicate findings to team members
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates as needed
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Completion of electrical design coursework
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits and circuit analysis
- Familiarity with electrical laboratory equipment and testing procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
