About this role

Lennox International provides climate control solutions for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. The Hardware Engineering Co-Op will support electrical design, prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and product development activities for residential HVAC control products while collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with electrical design activities for residential HVAC control products
  • Support circuit evaluation, component selection, and design verification efforts
  • Contribute to engineering documentation and design-related activities
  • Gain exposure to industry-standard hardware development processes
  • Assist with prototype assembly, validation, and laboratory testing activities
  • Support engineers in conducting electrical and functional testing of hardware systems
  • Help collect, organize, and analyze test results to support product development efforts
  • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities to identify and resolve hardware issues
  • Assist with maintaining product documentation, test records, and technical reports
  • Support engineering teams with technical investigations and project-related documentation
  • Help track project progress and communicate findings to team members
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates as needed

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Completion of electrical design coursework
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and circuit analysis
  • Familiarity with electrical laboratory equipment and testing procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
