Health Care Consultant Intern - Indianapolis, IN (Summer 2026)

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Work directly under the supervision of members of the Consulting Services Engagement Team and provide outstanding service to internal and external clients
• Conduct literature review and research topics assigned
• Develop and present clear, comprehensive, and cohesive summaries of findings from research conducted
• Perform analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and accurately convert into useable information
• Possess and apply a solid understanding of the health care landscape
• Respond to inquiries and requests timely and efficiently
• Professional in appearance and manner
• Maintain a positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• This position could have the potential to become a direct hire in a full-time position after graduation

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
• Strong knowledge of the health care industry and/or Medicaid knowledge
• Active participation in student organizations and work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
• Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Ability to work in a team environment 
• Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite 
• Submission of a writing sample will be required prior to job offer

Minimum Qualifications

• Intern must be working toward or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Services Administration or related field
