Hospitality Property Accountant

Texas Western Hospitality is seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join our organization. The Property Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and accuracy of each hotel’s P&L and balance sheet

Key responsibilities & duties

• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations on assigned hotels.
• Perform a detailed general ledger review monthly for each property to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Work with AP and Payroll department on resolution of any issues
• Develop a relationship with each General Manager in order to assist with any Accounting and AP-related items.
• Review P&L statements with GMs in the Accounting System
• Prepare and post approved monthly financial statement journal entries.
• Play an integral part in the successful completion of external financial audits, including reconciliation requests and delivering information requested by auditors on a timely basis.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

• Proficient in Windows, Excel, and Word software applications
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications.
• General knowledge of accounting principles.
• Hospitality and hotel specific experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
