Job Summary

This position is located at the Cabins and Cottages with the Services Division. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Housekeeper Supervisor, NS-3566-03.
Major Duties
What to Expect:
Responsible for developing daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for housekeeper leaders and workers including weekend and holiday requirements.
Responsible for providing input for supplies, needed equipment and replacement requirements.
Responsible for providing guidance and making recommendations orally or in writing concerning cleanliness of quarters and common areas, habitability of quarters, new furniture, fixtures, equipment, amenities/accessory procurement, and report all damaged or missing property to Supervisor.
Tracks and reports work progress on various work assignments, requests overtime and additional equipment when needed to accomplish project.
Supervises employees to include: assigning work, counseling, and mentoring; approving and disapproving leave, completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews, signing timesheets, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment.
May be required to work a fluctuating work schedule to complete the mission to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MISSION ESSENTIAL STATUS: This position is designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (nature or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Knowledge of a broad range of procedures related to housekeeping standards, inspections for cleanliness and habitability, including health and comfort aides, inventory maintenance of resale items and snacks and restocking of transient quarters, initial training of new employees and to provide a continuing training program.
Must be able to give instructions both orally and in writing; and to schedule work assignments and leave schedules for leaders and housekeepers.
Must have knowledge concerning; proper usage of equipment and chemicals.
Must possess or be able to obtain applicable government operator permits.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, to operate company vehicles to be transported from one work place to another.
