About this role
Justice Grown is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide day-to-day HR support for its operations. The role supports employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, check-ins, credentialing, interviews, unemployment administration, employee relations, records management, and employee engagement across multiple states.
What you'll do:
- Work in partnership with HR Business Partners to assist with day-to-day HR activities and employee needs
- Provide onsite HR support to New Jersey locations and assist with HR needs in other states as assigned
- Assist HR Business Partners with employee relations matters, documentation, follow-up, and other HR processes
- Participate in investigatory meetings as requested, including scheduling, gathering documentation, taking notes, and assisting with follow-up
- Escalate employee concerns and workplace issues to the appropriate HR Business Partner or HR leadership
- Maintain confidentiality regarding investigations, disciplinary matters, employee concerns, and other sensitive HR information
- Handling upload of documents into team member profiles in HRIS system
- Coordinate and manage the company's 30-, 60-, and 90-day new hire check-in process
- Schedule required check-in meetings and monitor completion
- Conduct designated 30/60/90-day conversations with new employees
- Document feedback, concerns, and follow-up items identified during check-ins
- Identify and escalate employee concerns, management issues, training gaps, or other matters requiring HR Business Partner involvement
What they're looking for:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or similar Human Resources support role required
- Basic understanding of Human Resources practices and processes, with a strong interest and willingness to learn and develop broader HR knowledge
- Ability to learn HR processes related to employee relations, investigations, leave administration, unemployment, compliance, and other areas of Human Resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when maintaining employee records, documentation, and HR tracking
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable interacting with employees and managers and asking for guidance or escalating matters when appropriate
- Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and willing to take on new responsibilities as knowledge and experience develop
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with an HRIS preferred, with Wurk experience a plus
- Ability to work onsite in New Jersey and travel between company locations as needed
- Ability to provide administrative HR support to employees and operations across multiple states
